How to use?

Ok so I purchased a halogen oven... the one with really useless instructions... Everyone is saying how fantastic they are, roast, boil. stew, toast.... but how????

For example? Chips? I managed to get about 20 chips on the rack then burnt them? Is there an easier way? can i cook the chips in the bottom (not on a rack) in a little oil?

How do you make roast potatoes if you don't use oil? do they taste as good as roast potatoes in the oven? Do you place them on a rack? a dish? do you par boil them??? someone help pleaseeeeee :-)
