This oven recipe cookbook is what I need! I recently received a brand new oven from my husband. And I feel that it is just right to return the favor by cooking foods.

Hi I am new to this too.About Pyrex, if it will go in a Microwave, oven, dishwasher, I really don't think there is a problem. The one thing I would advise is not to put it directly on the bowl, make sure you put a small rack or something so you let the aire circulate. I am going to make my husband my first casserole in it tomorrow, so will let you know.
What I have found from the H/O is that the food definately tastes better. I had frozen some meat samosas that I had made a while back. Put them in on the high grate and ten minutes later they were ready. I don't think the timing is as fast as a Microwave, but the taste superases the Oven and the Microwave. One just has to get used to using it to re-heat things etc. instead of going directly to the Microwave which we have got used to.
Good luck and let us know how you get on.

:)Hi All
I have now amassed a few cookery books and I had a quick glance at this one... I find that the more the merrier.. that way, you can experiment with them all.... However, I would like to add that I bought a new oven a few years ago, which intailed me going from a gas oven to a fan assisted one... and I remember the blood, sweat and tears in trying to get things right... so all I want to say is to give yourselves time and don't expect to get everything right first time.... I have tended to cook my regular recipes in my oven and I have dropped the temperature down a bit and lessened the time.... I found the biggest mistake I made was having it too high up in the oven.... so now, if I am grilling, I have the food on the higher level and, if it is to be roasted or heated up, I place it on the bottom and I find I am making few mistakes... If the food is to cook for a long time, I put the extending ring on the top so that the top of the food doesn't get burned... I haven't been successful with pastry though, it tends to be uncooked on the bottom.... I could stop putting the pastry on the bottom .... but I won't let it beat me !!!
Cheers
